Bayshore Soil Management (BSM) provides thermal treatment of petroleum contaminated soils by a process called low-temperature thermal desorption. This thermal treatment process decontaminates non-hazardous soil contaminated with gasoline, kerosene, jet fuel, #1-6 fuel oils, used oils, coal tars and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.
BSM’s state-of-the-art technology remediates the impacted material by permanently destroying hydrocarbons and the other organic contaminates in the soil matrix. The thermal treatment does not compromise the geotechnical characteristics of the soil. The treated soil is structurally sound and perfect for mixing and blending with other recycled materials for beneficial reuse. Under the BSM approval, the facility may also accept municipal street sweepings.
