Renewable Energy

Bayshore is committed to energy self-sufficiency and the maximum practicable use of on-site generated renewable energy.  We already have 9,365 solar panels on a rooftop solar array that supplies 40% of the energy needed to operate our low temperature soil processing facility.  We have plans to add additional rooftop solar on all existing and planned structures and hope to add both wind turbines and an on-site biomass gasification technology to reach out renewable energy self-sufficiency goals.

Bayshore already manufactures an “engineered bio-fuel” from wood, and small pieces of corrugated cardboard, paper and plastic which is too small to economically recover for traditional recycling outlets.  Toward future energy self-sufficiency, the company hopes to convey this material to an on-site biomass gasifier for energy production.
