The Future Of Tire Recycling Is Coming To Bayshore
With millions of tons of tires being sent to landfills each year, tire disposal is a pressing environmental problem that must be solved. Bayshore Recycling is in the planning stage for implementing a state-of-the-art tire recycling process that will safely transform tires into usable products. We have already acquired county plan inclusion from the Middlesex County Solid Waste authority to accept tires. We explored several different technologies, both nationally and internationally, and are in the process of implementing the most cost-effective, productive, and environmentally-friendly process for tire recycling.
One of our preferred technologies is a state-of-the-art cryogenic process that uses liquid nitrogen to freeze and shatter the tires, removing the steel belts. The end result is rubber chips that can be used for playground cover, rubber floors, athletic tracks and more. Another process, shredding tires, makes a natural mulch that never deteriorates and also eliminates insect problems. Crumb rubber can also be used in asphalt production and many other manufacturing processes.
