SOLAR PROJECT

In 2008, Bayshore Recycling Corp’s installation of the largest photovoltaic system in the recycling industry was completed, providing sustainable, non-polluting power to Bayshore’s Eco-Complex and Energy Campus.

This 679 killowatt (9,365 panel) system is part of a much larger plan, as the company is actively taking steps to become the most diverse Energy Campus on the East Coast of the United States. Plans are underway to create a diverse campus of green businesses that use each others’ manufactured product to advance the latest construction recycling technologies.

A total of 9,365 solar panels are now installed on roofs at Bayshore’s EcoComplex and Energy Campus; each will generate 200 watts of power by converting the sun’s rays into clean energy. The massive system now powers a majority of the company’s operations, including the recycling of concrete, asphalt, brick and block.

Solar technology is part of a much larger plan for Bayshore Recycling Corp, as the company is actively taking steps to become the most diverse Energy Campus on the East Coast. Plans are under development to create a diverse campus of “green” businesses that use each others’ manufactured product to advance the latest construction recycling technologies.
